আজি বসন্ত জাগ্রত দ্বারে।
তব অবগুন্ঠিত কুন্ঠিত জীবনে
কোরো না বিড়ম্বিত তারে।
বসন্ত আসার সাথে সাথে প্রকৃতিতে বয়ে চলে দক্ষিণা হাওয়ার মাতাল সমীরণ, বাতাসে পাতা ঝরার শব্দ, সেই সাথে গাছে গাছে নতুন পাতা আর ফুলের সমারোহ। গাছের আড়ালে লুকিয়ে থাকা কোকিলের কুহু তান আবেগী মনকে করে তোলে উদাস। শীতের খোলসে চুপসে থাকা কৃষ্ণচূড়া, রাধাচূড়া যেন অলৌকিক স্পর্শে জেগে উঠে। পলাশ, শিমুল গাছে লাগে বসন্তের ছোঁয়া। আর এই সময়কে নিবিড়ভাবে স্পর্শ করার চেষ্টা আজ আমাদের।
Today (22/03/2024, Friday) at Educare International School, we have celebrated “Basanta Utsav 2024” in an attempt to revel in the joys of the Spring month. Spring symbolizes rebirth and renewal, themes that deeply resonate with student life. Just as the natural world undergoes a period of growth and transformation during this season, students experience their own renewal academically, personally and socially. Spring marks the end of our academic year, prompting reflection, goal-setting, and renewed motivation for learning. It represents a time of personal growth and self-discovery, as the Educarians navigate new experiences and embrace their potential. With the longer days and warmer weather, they feel energized and invigorated, ready to tackle challenges and pursue their passions. Spring also signifies transitions, whether it’s graduating, moving to a new school, or embarking on other life changes, offering opportunities for reinvention and new beginnings. This joyous time marks the endless possibilities for growth and transformation inherent in the student journey. Hence, our day-long celebration tried to acknowledge the boundless bounties we receive from the Spring season.
The program colored itself with spectacular dance and recitation performances by our students, their guardians and our educators – both on-stage and off-stage! There was a Swimming Pool for the Junior Educarians and a Rain Shower for the Seniors to beat the scorching heat of the day. Our teachers put up several stalls for the students and their guardians throughout the program – a Thandai and Mojito Stall to quench the thirst, several Snacks Stalls adorning adorable, tasty treats to deal with the hunger pangs and an Accessory Shop offering a huge collection of organic colors, water guns, organic gulal (a brightly colored powder also known as “abir” in the regional language) and more! The vibe of the event can still be felt through these colorful photos in our Facebook page that reminds us of these sweet lines:

দাও ভরে দাও শূন্য হিয়ায়
ধরিএীকে আবার সাজাই
দিয়ে প্রেমের বানী –
তুমি ফাগুন হাওয়ার মিষ্টি ধ্বনি!
