Plogging is a fitness and environmental activity that combines jogging with picking up litter. The word “plogging” is derived from the Swedish term “plocka upp,” which means “to pick up.” Participants go for a run or jog and pick up trash or litter they encounter along their route. It’s a way to promote both physical fitness and environmental stewardship by cleaning up public spaces.
As pre-decided on 29/08/2023, the eve of India’s National Sports Day, we from Educare International School participated in a plogging program around nearby localities on 10/11/2023 (Friday) from 8:00 AM onwards. This Campaign is a part of the “Fit India” Campaign 2023.
