“Yoga is not just a physical exercise, but a journey of self-discovery, self-acceptance, and inner peace. It is the art of connecting the mind, body, and spirit, and finding balance amidst the chaos of life.”
Yoga is an ancient practice that originated in India thousands of years ago. While the exact origins of yoga are difficult to trace, it is believed to have emerged around 5,000 years ago in the Indus Valley civilization, which was located in present-day Northern India and Pakistan. The practice of yoga has evolved over time and has been influenced by various philosophical, religious, and cultural traditions in India.
Our Honorable Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Damodardas Modi was instrumental in spreading awareness on Yoga and recognizing its universal appeal, on 11/12/2014, the United Nations proclaimed 21 June as the International Day of Yoga.
The theme for this year’s Yoga Day is “Yoga For Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam” or “Yoga for One Earth, One Family”. We at Educare International School proudly present some of today’s celebration of International Yoga Day celebrated on 21/05/2023 (Wednesday), as we believe in spreading the messages of wellness all around through this ancient practice.
Thank you,
