Doctor’s Day in India is celebrated on July 1st every year. This date was chosen to commemorate the birth anniversary of Dr. Bidhan Chandra Roy, a prominent physician and the second Chief Minister of West Bengal, who played a significant role in the development of the medical field in India. The day serves as a tribute to Dr. Roy’s exemplary contributions and as a way to honor the entire medical profession in the country.
Educare International School celebrated National Doctor’s Day on 01/07/2024 (Monday) with a program by the Teachers of the Science Club, offering an overview of the history of medicine, modern medical advancements, and the vital role of doctors in society. The event included discussions on basic first aid, health and hygiene. Students were asked to volunteer to know about basic CPR technique and witness the Heimlich Maneuver by the teachers. It concluded by exploring medicine as a career option, inspiring students to consider becoming future doctors.
National Doctor’s Day at Educare International School was a comprehensive celebration that not only honored doctors but also empowered our students with knowledge and inspiration to contribute to the healthcare sector in the future.
