Ex tempore is a Latin phrase that translates to “on the spur of the moment” or “without preparation.” It is commonly used to describe a situation or activity that is improvised or done spontaneously, without any prior planning or rehearsal.
At Educare International School, we believe in imparting valuable skills in our students that go beyond the classroom. Today, on 05/07/2023 (Wednesday), Educare organised an Ex Tempore Activity Session for the Educarians. Firstly they were divided into teams. And then the names of the different topics were written down in little paper chits and the students were asked to come one by one to select one of them. They were all very excited to take part in this since we have made it into a game format, counting the number of points given by each team. Some of them were eager to go a second round even after the school bell had been rung.
Ex tempore activities help students develop valuable skills that equip them to excel in various academic, professional, and social settings. This is part of our ongoing “Improve-360°” campaign to prepare them for handling real world situations. In this case, they are learning to think on their feet, are motivated to expand their knowledge on various topics and gaining the intuition to connect one topic with another. Conversation skills are also improved significantly through this activity. Stay with us to keep updated about similar events in our school.
