Endangered Species Day Poster-making Competition at Educare International School

Endangered species are plant and animal species that are near extinction or at risk of extinction in their natural habitats. Examples include the Hawksbill Sea Turtles, the Amur Leopard and the Gangetic Dolphin and Red Panda from India. They play a major role in preserving the biodiversity of our planet. But they are currently facing extinction because of many factors such as habitat loss, overexploitation, pollution, climate change, invasive species and disease.

Endangered Species Day is a day dedicated to raising awareness about the importance of protecting endangered species and their habitats. The purpose of this day is to educate people about the threats faced by endangered species and to encourage actions that help conserve and protect these vulnerable creatures.

On 19/05/2023 (Friday), we at Educare International School had organised a Poster Making Competition among our students. The topic was “Know Who Are At Risk: Endangered Species & Us”. The students did their best to come up with unique and creative ideas. Some of their creations are shared here for your awareness. Students are furthermore requested to check how they can help in this Global Conservation efforts of our endangered species.

Thank you,
