Practicing Activity-based Learning (ABL) at Educare International School

In Educare’s vibrant, active space,
Hands-on learning sets the pace,
Through projects, teamwork, and real-world sights,
Students blossom, minds alight.

At Educare International School, we are committed to innovative teaching methods that engage and inspire our students. Throughout the month of July 2024, our classrooms buzzed with excitement as we practiced activity-based learning (ABL), a hands-on approach designed to enhance student involvement and comprehension as per NEP 2020 guidelines.

What is Activity-Based Learning?

Activity-based learning is an educational method where students actively participate in the learning process through activities, experiments, and projects. This approach helps students understand and retain concepts more effectively by applying them in real-world scenarios.

Highlights of the Session:

  • Interactive Experiments: Students conducted science experiments, turning abstract theories into tangible experiences.
  • Group Projects: Collaborative projects encouraged teamwork and communication, allowing students to learn from each other.
  • Creative Assignments: Art, role-playing, and other creative tasks made learning more engaging and enjoyable.
  • Real-World Applications: Activities linked classroom lessons to real-world applications, enhancing relevance and understanding.

Benefits of Activity-Based Learning:

  • Enhanced Engagement: Students are more motivated and interested in lessons when they actively participate.
  • Improved Retention: Hands-on activities help students remember and understand concepts better.
  • Critical Thinking: Problem-solving activities foster critical thinking and analytical skills.
  • Collaboration: Group activities build teamwork and social skills, creating a collaborative learning environment.

We are proud of our students for their enthusiasm and dedication to learning through activities. This ABL session demonstrated the power of experiential learning and our commitment to fostering an engaging and dynamic educational experience at Educare International School, and we eagerly look forward to continue integrating this learning approach throughout the whole academic session.
