Practicing Peer-Assisted Learning (PAL) at Educare International School

In Educare’s halls, where knowledge grows,
Peer learning thrives, and wisdom flows,
Students teach with hearts so bright,
Together they reach new academic heights.

Student-led teaching has long been regarded as a useful ancillary educational method, and at Educare International School, we fully embrace this approach. It is not only a valuable tool for enhancing academic understanding but also plays a crucial role in developing aspects of professionalism in student tutors and fostering a sense of community within our student body. On 16/07/2024 (Tuesday), our Peer-Assisted Learning (PAL) program, organized by our dedicated students, explored the experience of tutoring their peers.

The benefits of students acting as peer tutors are widely recognized and include metacognitive gains, increased student responsibility, and the development of essential professionalism skills. Our PAL sessions have shown that when students take on the role of educators, they reinforce their own knowledge while providing their peers with relatable and effective learning support. This practice not only enhances academic performance but also cultivates a collaborative and supportive school environment. At Educare International School, we are proud to see our students thrive as both learners and leaders, embodying the true spirit of education.
